What is a decoiler machine?
A decoiler machine is an industrial device that holds, supports, and continuously unwinds metal coils for feeding into stamping, roll forming, or cut-to-length equipment.
How it works
- Coil loading: The metal coil is placed onto an expandable mandrel
- Mandrel expansion: The mandrel expands to grip the coil ID securely
- Controlled unwinding: AC motor rotates the mandrel with loop control
- Downstream integration: Material passes through straighteners into the press
Manual decoiler
Hand crank, up to 2 tons, for electronics stamping
Motorized decoiler
Motor-driven, 2-5 tons, for medium production
Hydraulic decoiler
Hydraulic expansion, 5-20+ tons, for automotive
